So here we are in the beginning of the semester meaning new data is scant and I’m left resorting to shit posting. Enjoy or not.
- We primarily process language in our brainstem, particularly the pons. The “voice in your head”, is also probably an artifact of pontine processing.
- The primary driver of aphasia and other “speech disorders” are pontine, rather than cortical insults.
- Nearly every part of your body has it’s own distinct behavior/memory, and can store and process information distinct to it’s area. “Muscle memory” is mechanically the same as any other kind of memory.
- Humans only “see” and “perceive” the world in two dimensions. “Depth” is calculated as a two dimensional map based on differentials in our two dimensional vision maps
